Booking & payment

Delegates can secure their place at BBA events by returning the event booking form to the BBA Conferences Department via fax on +44 (0)20 7216 8894 or by post to:

We also accept bookings made by credit/debit card through our online registration system.

How do I pay?

You can pay for your place by cheque, credit or debit card or BACS transfer. Cheques should be made payable to "BBA Enterprises Ltd".

We accept the following:

Credit Cards

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Eurocard.

Debit Card

  • Switch/Maestro

We will need the card number, cardholder’s name, expiry date, security code, billing address and for Switch/Maestro cards, the issue number.

For payments by BACS your booking must be accompanied by a BACS remittance advice.

My accounts department needs time to raise a cheque

If you cannot send a cheque with your booking then please complete the booking form, write on it "Cheque to follow", make sure we have a contact name and number and then fax it to us on 020 7216 8894. We will hold your place for five working days.

If we have not received payment in that time we will contact you. We will not cancel your place without speaking to you first.

Change of delegate name

I am registered to attend but can no longer make the event and wish to send someone in my place.

Please inform us of the change by emailing us at: conferences@bba.org.uk quoting the reference number on your confirmation letter. We will need to know:

which conference you were due to attend;

the name, job title and contact details of your replacement

whether that person has special needs/dietary requirements.

We can accept changes up until two days before the event. Any last minute substitutes should bring a business card to the registration desk which will be used as a badge.

Cancellations

What happens if I have to cancel?

Please notify us in writing as soon as possible. Faxed cancellations will be accepted.

If we receive your cancellation more than 14 days before the event you will receive a full refund less an administration charge of £35 (plus VAT).

Should you cancel less than 14 days before an event, no refund will be made. However, a replacement delegate is welcome at no extra charge. If your badge is not picked up we will, of course, forward all documentation to you.

Special needs

Please let us know at the time of booking (or at least two days before the event) if you have any special needs such as wheelchair access, hearing loop or if you will be accompanied by a guide dog.

Please notify us of any dietary requirements or allergies and we will do our best to accommodate them.

Dress code

There is no specific dress code when attending a BBA event, however "smart casual" attire is the norm. We would add that the majority of our delegates do come straight from the office where smart suits are still prevalent, even on "dress down" days.

Member banks

BBA Conferences and Training operates first and foremost as a service to our member banks producing events well below commercial rates and at a discounted rate for members.

BBA members drive how we price products, what projects we undertake and the format in which events are delivered. However, we are also actively opening up our events to include those outside of the membership, but within the Financial Services Sector. Every conference or briefing that we do therefore includes a non-member price, which is still at well below commercial rates.

BBA membership is corporate, not individual. If your organisation is a member then so are you. Find out if your organisation is a member bank or associate member.
